Wow I am lame

Well, It's been a while since I've posted.  Arg!  Partially because my husband and I were both working...which was actually great- because that meant in the evenings I could spend all my time with my hubby!  Now that he's back to school doing lots of school things... I have much more free time in the evenings!  So....outdoor activities and blogging it is! 

My Turbo Kick class on campus went amazing...I loved every minute of it!  I was able to get about 15 regulars to my class...and each of them told me how much fun they had working out.  A few of them even came up and asked me how they could become a Turbo Kick instructor.  I was flattered!

Luckily I had Turbo Kick to keep me in shape the last few months.  I strained my IT band pretty bad running one Saturday and I haven't been able to run much on it for the last month.  I'm still supposed to run a Half Marathon on May 21st...but we'll see.  I'm running only about 2 days a week and my longest run in the last 30 days has only been 6 miles.  I'm hoping to increase this weekend to 8 miles...and see how I feel.  My cute hubby bought me a foam roller to help rub out my muscles...and to help massage my IT band.  It has worked wonders and I love to hate it.  It feels good afterwards, but its also slightly painful.  You know....when you are getting a good backrub and it hurts, yet feels so good all at the same time?  (I'm not very good with backrubs....I get squirmy.)

Well, I hope to keep more in touch and to get this blog going full bloom.   I have some pretty big ambitions for myself this summer....I would love to complete a few Half marathons, and if my IT Band heals, I'd love to try to run a full marathon in the fall.  I also am going to try to see if I could teach Turbo Kick at the local gym, rather than on campus.  I need some more experience on my fitness resume!!     

Its a beautiful sunny day (even though it snowed yesterday) so I can't wait to get out and get my jog on!!!
