I love that you just click on the map to indicate your route. Be sure to change the mile/kilometer (mi/km) option in the top left corner.
Not only is this convenient, but it's safe. I leave the map on my computer, so that my husband knows exactly where I would be if I were to call him in an emergency (whether it be bathroom, or not).

In unrelated news....I found this picture of myself on my friend's blog from our relay this summer. Definitely not attractive, but definitely real. Sun in my eyes + sweaty face + hair everywhere = real running.

Nike +gps for the iPhone works great too and was 2 bucks, I not free, but it works both inside and outside so I've been able to keep track of all my runs.
ReplyDeleteYeah I actually use a Garmin Forerunner (watch) 405 to track my actual miles, pace, average pace, time, and heart rate. And it comes with a memory chip so I can upload every run to my computer to see the course on a map. Downside...its really pricey. But, when I do my out-and-back routes from my house, I map it on the computer. I like to know approximate mileage that I'm setting out to run. Or if I want new scenery I'll plunk around until I find a new route I want to try. But, I never knew about the Nike + GPS thing for the iphone. I don't have an iphone, but it seems like it would do the trick. Although I'm too clumsy to carry anything with me while I run.
